Top with freshwater. Salt doesn't evaporate!![]()

I have no idea where to post this, so I just put it here...
Planning to setup a small goby tank (1 feet cube) with a couple of knight gobies. Wondering what is the acceptable level of gravity? Read that it is anywhere between 1.002 to 1.008... But question is how do I achieve this level? Hydrometers can't give me this small value. So how much salt should I add to the tank?
Also, when topping up the tank with water, do I have to top up with salt water or just fresh water?

Hmmm... The few which I saw in the market starts at 1.010 and above...

you top up with freshwater. Salt does not evaporate. But water change has to be salt water

aga-aga (estimate) can liao. knight goby can do well both in freshwater and marine tank..they are more adaptable than we think. To them, some changes in parameters in tank can never compete with what happens in the nature everyday.

Okay. So just aga aga dump in the salt?
Also, will a 1ft cube be too small for a trio of knight gobies?

It's enough. Males are territorial so just provide more hiding place. You got female?
I do see knight gobies being sold here in China too, never in good condition.

From the shop I saw them, I believe they are all males. But didn't do a thorough sexing...
