Perhaps it's time we stopped refering to Rana erythraea as the four-lined tree frog. That moniker belongs to the relatively unknown Polypedates leucomystax

In fact the four-lined tree frog is also known as Golden Tree Frog. Here is an article and a great picture of it:



I used to dislike four-lined tree frog due to its dull/brown coloration, but after seeing one in golden color at a LFS, I am so mesmorized by it that I bought it on the spot! In my paludarium, it changes color from light yellow/golden to dull/dark brown depending on its mood.

Raeburter, do keep in mind that these are highly endangered species and are NOT pets. I was merely pointing out that we should be using the proper common names as many of us can't tell the difference between the two.
