Congratulations on your first pair of apistos.....welcome to the club too!! Enjoy yourself and update us with pictures soon!!
Hi all,
Very much exited as I got my first pair of Apistogramma cacatuoids(orange).
I bought this from Cichlids Forever. I'll post the pictures soon (in a weeks time). The pair is now exploring the tank. One thing I noticed though, that they seem to like to be infront of a strong flow. Not sure how true this is.
Cheers

Welcome bro. Happy apistogramming. It's very addictive you know? I started of with 1 2ft tank. 3months later got another 2 2ft tank.
God will make a way, where there seems to be no way

Looks like a young pair to me....try to feed it well with lots of nutritious food!!![]()

I'm very much new to this kind. I'll definetly feed them, is there anything that you recommend?
If they do not take pellets, feed them with frozen blood or frozen brine shrimps. Can get these from c328.

Now swimming: Plecos and Apistogrammas
Great first shots.
To get the whole fish into focus, increase your f-stop to around f16. But this must be compensated with a slower shutter speed.
The male definitely looked young.
With your pictures, use the BB image tag instead in our gallery instead. Able to show the best of details of this beautiful fish of yours.
Enjoy the new fish and keep us updated.![]()
