No it's not possable the two are totally differnt spices.
I'm a hugh betta freak and proud of that. I own 34 of the Pks {plakat] the ture fighting betta not a half bred.
Biologically, they will not.
Like ApistoRanch say, they are different species. But if they are from the same group/complex, and the specific traits of the males/females are similar, there is a chance of cross-breeding happening in the wild as they are mistakenly thought to be of the same species.
However, let's leave such things to nature. Serious. Let's just enjoy what we have given by nature.
Anyway, if you put a A.cacatuoides with a A.agassizii in a tank, either one will be killed...
