Some noobie question

I got a 60cm x 45cm x 30cm tank.

Planning to start a small scale planted.Before venturing into a bigger project.

Trying some riccia and taiwan moss first.

1)Does riccia need fertilizer?

2)Any shop sells small amount of fertilizer(cost?) and substrate?

3)what substrate most suitable(cost?)

4)Going to DIY a CO2,what ingredients did i lack out besides sugar,yeast and baking soda?What is the common terms use for yeast and baking soda.You know sometimes in a supermart uncle and auntie only converse in hokkien and mandarin.What is the terms of these items in hokkien and mandarin?

Because you are going to inject CO2, you need to add in fertiliser. Riccia and moss are not really rooted plants, so base fertiliser will be unnecessary.

You can try Seachem Flourish for starters, for Ferka's Aquatiziler and Balance-K. For shops, look at the LFS listing in the Aquatalk forum section.

Simple sand substrate like Lapis sand will do good for your cause.

Imho you only need sugar and yeast. They should be quite easily found in a supermarket at the baking section. I can't help you on Hokkien and Mandarin

Go to NTUC or Giant, look at the baking section, can't miss it. By the way make sure it is baking soda not baking powder

Dennerle V30 liquid fertilizer are also good, how about lighting ?

55 watt lighting would be good, with your tank size it will be about 3W per galon
