The experts will know the species name for this fish....I'm not sure if this is Ap. Sp. Algodon? Just a wild guess....Biotope has this fish in their last shipment of apistos...

It is a A.bitaeniata from one of the Peru rivers. Don't know which one though. Different colour morphs from the Orange and Yellow which is in the shop.
Some of them from the last time I sold at the shop are showing very beautiful tinge of reds... Marvellous fish which no one noticed I must say...
I got the dominant male from the batch, must say it looks more colorful than my previous A. bitaeniata, cost double too....
Guess my quest for a newly discovered Apisto continues....
No females left?
That's sad... Means another male will rise up the ladder and be the next dominant one! Time to hang out at the shop...
Don't think the more exotic ones will hit our shores that soon... Enjoy your new male...
I meant to say I got the dominant male and a nice female, there are still 7 or 8 mixed left....![]()
oh... nice! Any pictures to share with us, Gecko?
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Apistogramma spp. are not the easiest fishes to shoot as they are not exactly co-operative. Perhaps in a few weeks when they have settled down and showing some colors.

I agree... Especially when you want to shoot them in their flaring colours or posture without the use of mirror (using mirrors abit unnatural in my personal opinion)...
