Full blast spraybar

For Eheim canisters, many people do not turn the valves fully open, due to the strong currents when its fully opened, so will this stress the Ehiem motor over time?

leafhorn, some people did mention that the trying to adjust the flow of the canister filter with the level is not good in a long run. while others claimed that they've been doing that for years with no ill effect.

maybe you would like to face the spraybar towards the glass instead?

for my plant tank, i put the spraybar further into the water, so that the surface will not move too much.

i think can trial-and-error, by facing the spraybar in various positions.

Its hard for my tank setup to face the front, unless buy the eheim spare parts elbow tubes, which is expensive.

I think I will adjust the holes to face higher. Thanx.

I like to put a spray bar in my coming 2.5ft tank also. But If I want to have java moss background, will the water from spray bar affect the moss?

I use half the flow rate of my 2228 for my 4ft, intense blasting usually result in unclear water, loss of CO2..

How long have you been doing that? Any effect on your impeller, etc?
