Whilst it's probably easier to chat to someone to get an instant answer, it may not be the only way to solve the problem. The advice will be only from one prespective.
By providing the necessary information in a post, more people can give their opinion and advice and you will have a more balance. If this is really too much of a hassle and you prefer instant answers, then you will find this discipline of the hobby more of a hassle then an enjoyment.
Planted tank as a hobby in general requires more patience as it takes time for the plants to grow and the aquascape to mature to the stage you have in your mind. And some plants do grow painfully slow.
