Information about your tank may be useful in this case.
If I am not wrong the rule of thumb is, within 1 hour, the amount of water that flows through your filter should be 2-3 times the volume of your tank.
After switching to 1kg of Biohome+ in a 2026 cannister, I realised that the ball indicator had dropped to the middle level on the 2026 flowrate indicator.
Prior to that, I had throughly cleaned the cannister. Anyone can tell me if the flowrate is still good at this level?

You mean the flowrate has dropped after you added 1kg of biohome?
Should not be a problem, keep a look out for staghorn algae or BGA growing. If signs of algae start then you've got to use less biohome.
Just to clarify, I was referring to information such as tank size, whether it is a plant or fish-only and so on.

Tank size is around 36G, 3x1.5x1.5ft. About 80 faunas and plenty of plants in it.
By the way, how to determine the the amount of water that flows through the filter should be 2-3 times the volume of the tank?
I am using 2026 (950l/hr) on a 36G tank. That should fitted the specs right?

I have the same problem as you winston. My 2026 is also relatively new. I have tried to use all the media that came with the package, but i think there were too much. Even though I did not use all media, after 2-3 months, I did notice that the flow rate is not on maximum. (with and without surface skimmer).
However, the filter is working in great condition. I attribute it to the lengh of my hose used, its diameter etc, etc. I am just too tired to test and retest again under different configuration.

Your tank is 36 US gallons, so that works out to be 136 L.
The filter is 950L/Hr. So 950/136 = 7 times, therefore your filter goes through 7 cycles of your tank's water in 1 hour.
The actual number won't be so high because you have to factor in decreased flowrate from filter media, and lower actual water volume due to presence of substrate and plants and fish.
Regarding the hose length, try to keep it at 6ft in total length. Any longer and the filter pump need to work more.
Hope this helps!
