Smile My virgin Vivarium(update with pics)

Below are the updates on my vivarium construction. After spending much thought on the entire setup, i have decided to opt out the Green Tree Frog and just keep some bettas and a few fresh water crabs. The tank of choice is also changed to 2ft by 1 ft by 1 ft. Will be done laterally with waterfall.

Not as nice as some of those posted on line by the gurus here. So please please pardon me.

    Thanks.

Please not that crabs will try to escape and can climb along the siliconed tank edges. Thus, the tank must be sealed. Also, crabs are scavengers and will tear at plant materials. Thus, your setup can and will most likely be destroyed by them after some time.

There is no need to close the tank. Some members can still comment and learn from your experience later.

Anyway, no comments does not mean your creation is not good enough. For me, I am just too busy nowadays.

The interest in vivariums is just not as high as planted fish tanks here...

    hey bro Altum_lover76,

cheer up man! Like Justikanz, I was too busy lately to even visit the forum, hence did not read the new postings here. Not that your vivarium is not good enough for comments.

I find your vivarium background design very unique, and the DIY effort is good. It will look even better if you add more greenery into it, and let it matur e over time. New vivariums usually look a bit un-natural, my initial paludarium looks like shit when I look back now.

keep up the effort & passion, and update us your progress. Don't close the thread! There is already limited hobyyists in vivariums, we need you!
