mostly likely the common wood shrimp i guess
There seems to be more filter shrimp poping out, have seen a couple smaller size filter shrimp being sold in tampines lfs. I recall that one of them is sold under the name of red lance shrimp, no idea whats the actual name though.

There are two types of filter feeding shrimps commonly found in Singapore. Wood/Singapore shrimp and the cameroon armoured shrimp. Wood shrimps can grow up to 15 cm and so does cameroon armoured shrimps. But the later commands a price tag that normally 6 to 8 times higher that that of the former.
Here's an old file picture of the cameroon armoured shrimp taken at Qian Hu during one of our farm tours.
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
I just hope they aren't selling poached Caridina temasek
Do you mean red lace shrimp? If so, could be Atyoida pilipes. I have also seen the blue and green form, so they could go by blue/green/red lace shrimp.
I had them not too long ago from TB Ben, but they got cooked in my tank. Internal filter impeller got stucked, causing the temperature to rise and cooked the shrimps.
Here is a previous thread...

No but it does have a corss between a pincer and a fan from what i've seen in the PDF file... Mind PMing me your source?
According to Cai XY, this shrimp from the Central Catchment is the C. temasek based on the over all size, morphology and egg size. C. temasek has the largest eggs amongst all the Caridina sp. found in the Central Catchment. He also specifically said that the so called "filter fan" does not actually open but rather used more like a sweeping broom.
This egg-bearing female measures 13mm from tip of rostrum to tip of tail-fan.

So they're like the local version of cherries, cept they filter as well? Don't suppose you could PM me a list of the native caridina species with pictures... I've got some unidentified ones swimming amongst my M. malayanum
