depending on your plant mass, i would advise you use only 1*55watts, on for abt 7-8 hrs a day in the first few weeks. and you might increase your Co2 bps to 2-3 bps etc.
That should be enough for glosso.

will do.
tks
2x55W? that lots of light you put there
higher light meaning algae will grow faster as well.![]()
Mine needed 72W of light to crawl. 36W couldn't make it; I don't know about 55W. So you might want to try.
What shrimps are you talking about? Fish and shrimp are all subject to personal choice.
Shadow is right, if your glosso isn't growing well, algae will grow in its place, and at a very fast pace too since you have so much light.
I have the same tank size as mano36. I am growing APP with 2X55W PL as well. I started off with 1X55W but the APP was growing vertically instead of crawling. Now, the tank is slightly infected with BBA. I need to introduce more plants into the tank soon.
don't worry, be happy
Thanks for all your replies.
Took out X 1 55w.
Glosso is creeping!
what's next?shall I add ferts?
I have placed some root monster in my gravel

Next step to take, sit back and enjoy your tank.
As for fertilization, depending on your budget, you can go for a ADA fertilization regime or in many other instances with the forumers here, you can go with the Estimative Index (E.I) way of dosing (NPK dosing + weekly 50% water change).
It all depends on your budget. There are many topics on E.I regime/routine in the forums that you can search on. Easy to follow and works on a budget that many can afford.
Keep a look-out for any form of algae that may form over time and tweak your fertilization regime/CO2/lighting periods to suit your plants needs and of course enjoy this marvelous hobby!![]()
