Recommendations for background flora!

I think as someone starting out, I would not recommend fissidens as the main plant as it is really slow.
Ask yourself if you have the patience to wait three months for it to grow half an inch?

Fissidens fontanus requirement's are simple like most mosses: cool water <28C and medium light, clean water, CO2 helps and some fertilizer.

Since you asked, I would not go for either riccia or fissidens. lol!

Try java moss, green sock moss[let me know if you find it! ], X'mas or Singapore moss.

actually this is not my first tank!

i had a 2 ft planted for about 2 yrs.

tried the java moss before and that was wat i had for the last 2 yrs.
now trying to go into other plants.
