More information might help.
How big is your proposed tank? What animals are you thinking of to keep in the tank? Any aircon for the room location? What is the lighting for the tank? Are you planting in the water? Or is there a land area? etc...
A lot of plants can be used... If you are thinking of planting in the water and having the plants grow emersed, do note that most stem plants do not do very well in such set ups and they will crawl, rather then stay erect... Polygonum sp. is one that will stay and grow upwards...
If you are planting on wood and have the water run on the wood, then mosses and nanas are good choices... Riccia and HC are also good alternatives... but do note that Riccia, once introduced is difficult to be totally completely removed from any set up.
Some terrestrial plants love their feet in water, while some love humid conditions but loathe wet feet... So, let us have more information...
