My tank have 4 RAMs. Yesterday I saw one staying at the corner brushing the floor. Then I saw a little tube out of the bottom of her stomach. A while later, saw few eggs appearing. Felt very happy. And the male is protecting her by chasing the other 2 away.

However, when I woke up this morning, the female is not at the corner anymore. I am not able to clearly see any eggs left. So sad.

Can someone advise what should I do the next time this happen?

I am not able to get the other 2 out of the tank of worrying disturbing the pregnant female. I have past experience with drawf pink chilids. Once I add some plants or water while the eggs are laid, they will immediately eat all their eggs. But, if I leave them alone, they will protect the eggs and fry.

But this time round, it is my RAMs. I am not sure will they act the same.

    Bro,

If you intend to breed your rams then just put the confirm pair inside the tank alone with just a male & a female. Remove the other two of them.
You should see the next laying of eggs in a month time.

As for the other issue about the adding of plant & water.... Future dont do it as it will seems to them pair that just lay eggs a thread or disturb thats why they will eat up the eggs... Trust they are very young parents thats why...

Best of luck to your breeding... Try putting in some stones or rocks for the breeding pair as a hiding space so they are more comfortable....
