Nice! I can see that you have a cave within a cave! Is the Starpet one too big for the fish?

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Thats the M size from starpet. Its kind of big. Not safe for breeding i feel. So i placed the pot inside to create additional hiding place.

S-size is still kind of big for my pair of A.agassizii, so I can imagine the hole in a M-sized one. But when you use a big cave, the female will push substrate out of the cave to make the cave smaller. That's what I noticed from both my A.bitaeniata and A.agassizii.

Eugene, why is the fish known as Super Red?

Nic, not sure if they bred, but the female stayed in the cave for a couple of days but no fries emerged after she came out.

Got it under the name "super red". Well, of course not as red as the Wilhelm's ones.

On my experience, there should be fries. Do you see the female fanning just outside the cave?

German F1 usually means that the pair sold is the 1st generation of a pair of wild parents bred in Germany.

Didn't observe that. She went swimming around after coming out.

Can't remember where I read that they are cutting down the exports of A.elizabethae similar to that of Hypancistrus zebra.

Reason behind it? Is it because too much of this strain of apisto been caught for sale?

i was thinking maybe the A.elizabathae are too expensive and not many people are willing to pay so much therefore they cut down on the export?

The Brazilian authority is cutting down on ornamental fish export on the whole. So A.elizabathae which is predominantly collected in Rio Uapes area in Brazil, is affected.
