Last week I bought an Eheim Pro II 2028 external tank. It was working great.

Now there is no flow rate. The ball does not move up. There seems to be not enough power to push the ball up and create a flow rate.

When can I get a replacement for this unit. I still have the warranty. I live is SEA. It was a good machine. Any advice how to solve this problem? Thanks!

    Hello Jumans!

How long is the length of the hose you use for the 2028? It cannot exceed more than 6ft in total length.

Hi man, it is less than six feet, there is air coming out when pluged in, but to move water, there is nothing. maybe there is a leak somewhere

Strange. Is it air locked? Creating lots of noise? Motor is working? It should be silent.

    If it's airlocked...
Turn it off, take the 'out tube' and suck it till you create the siphon action into a pail while leaving the 'inlet' in the tank. Let it gurgle all the way. [caution, you may gulp some water. prepare mouth wash! ]

Once siphon is working well, put this tube back into the tank and turn the power back on. Should work fine. [if airlocking was the problem]

From these feedbacks, I would definitely suspect that it is airlocked. You have to PRIME ( meaning getting the trap air out) the canistor by pressing the big circular pump on top of the canistor to draw in water and pushing out the air.
