to AQ. just watch out for Synodontis hybrids coming out of eastern Europe. These are hormonal induced inter-specific hybrids. A true lover of fishes would prefer what Nature had given us * I think *
Hey there!
I'm glad to be part of this community.
Some of the readers might know me from other forums.
Anyway,
A bit of info about myself:
-Crazy about catfish (especially corydoras and synodontis).
-More of a collector (catfish) than just a normal fish hobbyist.
-Lives in the east
Joining this forum, I hope to learn more from all you fish experts.

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Welcome, whisker to AQ. I'm also a catfish lover just ask "CHOY" , enjoy and have fun glad to have you with us.
Something about the water & the fishes that calms me down.
Welcome SuD! Will be excited to hear about your collection of corydoras. It is such a big family with relatively similar looking species. Hope to sap some knowledge from you.
And to explain what an AQ Retired is, an AQ Retired is a ex-moderated who decided to stop by a moderator for the time being and are welcomed to be back as a moderator in future when they find the calling again.
Ah, okie.
Thanks for explaining.
Regarding cories, there are not much difficulties in identifying them really.
Some other catfishes are worst, like plecos (those are real headaches).
Lol!
No offence to all plecofanatics..
So far, i've not yet upload photos of my cory collection but here are some of my humble catfish collections:

Most of them are just the common catfish you can get anywhere..
Not in gallery;
Synodontis petricola
Synodontis decorus
Bagarius bagarius
