Does anyone has a cheap colution to a leaking CO2 valve?

I just got mine less than 2 weeks,a dn it's leaking betwn the big nut tt screw into the caniste and the swievl part [Get wat I mean?].

It's leaking alot and I dun want to keep refilling it.. $$$
I went to x change it with the shop, and it's leaking again!

Is there any bramd or industrial type tt we can use?

I heard that they do sell a industrial type with rubber O rings for good sealing, and is hand tightened. it cost abt $150 - $200. Do anyone has one out there, and can let me know about it?

I'm lossing my money here []

Any help is greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance

Did the shop use plumbing tape to attach the "big nut" into the canister? How do you know it's leaking, i.e. did you use soapy bubbles to test for leakage? It could be a matter of not understanding or mis-reading the read out on the gauge, which happened to me when I first got the CO2 canister.

    Cheers,
    Roy

Bring to Nature Aquarium. See if Chan can help you.

Worse come to worse, bring it back to the shop you bought from and exchange again, but test with soapy water before you bring back. Else get a refund and then go buy from a reliable LFS.

I found out it was leaking cos I heard hissing sound. Then I used some water to test where the leak was coming from.. WALA!!.. bulles coming out from the join.

There wasn't any tape, cos it was not leaking from the threads.

May I know where is this Nature Aqurium?

    Thanks

Hmmm... is it leaking at the tap? Or at the neck of the canister? If its leaking where I think you're describing, I think better you bring it back to the shop and MAKE them to exchange and test until you get a ok one or get a refund and buy elsewhere.

i'll second what vinz has suggested.....bring it back and ask for an exchange...do not accept repair work unless they are willing to have the tank certified by Soxal or any other pressurised cylinder tank company.

if there are other options, consider the catalina CO2 tanks from the US.

Is leaking at the tap joint. I don't have the cash to get a new one. I'll just turn it off at night, and hope tt it last for a mth or 2.

I heard tt there isa japanese type or something like tt, where the valve is tighten by hand, witha rubber O-ring instead of a teflon ring.

Suppose to be very good. ???? Anyone got any idea where to get this product?

    Thanks
