I sometimes do ponder since the stomach is at times quite translucent, can we see the eggs formation. This photo clear my doubt about it. Thanks. Nice shot.

Not really fright colouration, it has been like this for a week. This particular fish has an overall dark beige colour with indistinct spot. Whether it is because it is from Mersing, because it is full of eggs, or because it is female, I do not know. It is also rather inactive and prefers to stay near the substrate.
Maybe need to get the rest from Mersing to compare.

haha that's probably because you have not tried looking at them under bright sunlight (or in this case, flash).
