    Hi guys,
I am a newbie in planted tank and i just recently set up a planted tank with co2 input. I am currently using seachem flourish as a liquid fert as my tank only has java fern n moss. I would like to ask if seachem flourish would be enough to provide the plants with ample nutrients or i need to add in the NPK liquid ferts too ? I was told by a owner of a lfs that seachem flourish would be enough...Hope to hear from you guys soon. Thanks a lot guys.

    Welcome to AQ ryan.

You do not need to add NPK ferts if you are providing enough via other means, eg food, substrate, regular water changes. If these manage to provide the plants with enough to complement the seachem flourish, they will grow well.

I'd say it would depend also on the lighting level and the plant load you have in the tank. On the higher lighting level, CO2 supplied, most microsorum would consume a lot of N, and it is advisable to add in a tad bit of extra KNO3 to let the plant grow faster. Otherwise it would be a bit stunted despite the opportunity of getting big. Just be warned over time a group of humble regular microsorum pteropus may bite you back in the form of giant growth
