First of all, a great welcome to AquaticQuotient.com.
Is it possible to let us know where you are located in Singapore?
In this way, we may be able to guide you to the nearest LFS.
Dear readers,
I am currently looking for the filter stated above. I am new to Singapore and I have not had the time to visit many LFS in this country. Hence, I would like to get help from this forum. I would like to know which LFS currently stocks this item. Cheers.
Hanz

Hey sheng,
Once again thank you for the replies it was very much appreciated.
As for my setup up, I currently have 2 (2x1.5x1) tank. I will be housing a pair of Apistos in one of them..and the other one, maybe a planted tank in future?
Cheers,
Hanz

Hanz,
Welcome to AQ!
I've shifted the thread to Aquatalk is it not a specific thread to discuss equipment.
For your tank setup (2 X 1.5 X 1 ft), I would recommend that you get the Liberty 200 instead, The Liberty 100 is under powered for a tank of this size. If possible, you might want to consider the Eden 501 too. That would be most ideal for a 2 ft tank to house dwarf cichlids. You might like to do a quick search in our forum for technical specifications of the Eden 501.
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

you can try the following link for EDEN 501:

Hey,
Thanx heaps for the help guys. I think i made a mistake on the measurement of the tank there. It is actually 23.5x14x12 inches. Weird as it seems..it was custom made. I did a calculation on the volumn of the tank and it is around 66 Liters. Do you reckon I should still go for the Eden 501?
Cheers,
Hanz

I think the price should be competitive whether you choose Eden or Eheim. Eden is an external cannister filter. It has a bracket that allows you to covert it to a hang on filter too if you don't have space. As for media, Eden will allow you to be more flexible as it does not use catridges. Overall running cost will be lower with the Eden.

Hey benny,
Yes I read the .pdf link given by Shadow and I think the Eden 501 filter would be of better choice. My question now is.. Do you know which LFS stocks them?
Cheers,
hanz

Well...I did recall seeing at C328 last week. Can't be sure about the other shops, but I'm sure they'll order it for you. About S$55 to S$65 per piece, including media and hose.

Yes,I went to C328 on monday, it have EDEN 501.
Dont be confuse by other brand like 601 etc..., EDEN 501 is more reliable.

Hey,
I got it up yesterday with ADA Malaya and a few java ferns on driftwood. Will let it cycle for a week before I get the fish in. I was happy because of the close to crystal clear water after filling in the tank, because I read tht some brothers in this forum have had nightmares when filling in a new tank. Hence I was quite delighted tht mine turned out well. I took a few pics of it, will try to upload it when I get the time. Thank you all for the help once again.
Hanz.

with ADA a week cycle is not enough, unless you use matured filter. I was cycling mine for a month before the pH stabilize
I forgot to mention.. I added some chemicals into the new tank as well ie. PH buffer and bio-culture.(i think that's what its called). Thank you for sharing your pointers though.
The tank is housing a pair of Apistos already~!! >.<

if I'm not mistaken pH buffer does not work on ADA![]()
