Hi, IMHO, 2x36 still not enough for your 3footer. if you can, go straight for the 4x39 (or similar).

hi i going to get my T5 tomorrow from NA. told the boss already.
good for you bro. after installation, try to get a fan to blow across the lamps. read from somewhere that keeping it well ventilated would prolong the bulb life and also stays brighter.

hi ljsg, i have installed.. juz brought from NA my T5 3x39w.My fan i installed center of my 3ft tank 45'c blow towards my tank should be okie right?
Hi JiaHe, so long as you are not blowing towards the water, but at the lights is fine. you would not want the water to evaporate fast. haha
hope you like the T5. Oh btw, if there is not much surface activity eg. current / bubbles, you might also want to consider removing the acrylic cover to hv better ventilation. But its up to you.
