For those who bought a Eden 501 on a second hand basis, I've scanned the owner's manual.

You can download the PDF file here.

The effort is truly appreciated. It is quite interesting to compare it to the manual on Eden's web site which sports a different layout and is signed with "Zoo Med Labs, Inc.". Owning two 501s myself, I can confirm that your version is indeed the one packaged with the actual product.

(You seem to dedicate quite some time re-scanning other manuals the manufacturers offer as PDF anyway. Is there a special reason for this?)

Maybe one day these filters become obsolete and someone need instructions to operate or find spare parts?

Off topic: there's a chap who has scanned more then 1500 old or out of production camera manuals, light meters and other photography equipment too. See http://www.butkus.org/chinon/

I get that, and the archival sentiment, still it seems less work to simply save and stash the pdf manuals from the manufacturer's sites, no?

(I for one made it a habit to get and store a pdf manual for every product I have as soon as I get it. If available, that is, which nowadays is almost always the case. Saves me the trouble to search for the manual every time I need it, I just need to browse to my "manuals" folder then.)

    Hey ankank,

Just thought I'd contribute to the community. At times folks purchase items which are 2nd hand and most of the times, such things comes without the manuals.

I'll be scanning more PDFs of items should I purchase/get them.

As for the Eheim PDF files, I only realised it a little too late after posting it up
