    Thanks Milk.
    You are already very strong in breeding eliza and diplo!!
    mendezi is actually rated as a difficult fish to spawn and breed, too.
    Breeding is something stochastic which depends quite a lot on luck.
    Be patient and you will succeed

    Hi BlueBlue;

    Spawning A.Diplo and A.eliza are purely lucky on my side..Nothing to talk about when i meet such an experienced breeder like you...
    Well, i do notice something really funny with 1 of my A.Mendezi female..This female which is housed beside a Tank along with a pair of A.diplo and the A.Diplo are currently with fries..The funny parts is that the female A.mendezi will always goes into brood caring mode when she see fries from the A.Diplo pair..But once the fries are being herded away from the female,she will goes into her normal colouration..Till now,this female have spawn before but the eggs are always ended eaten..

    Regards

    1. Don't be too humble

    2. Yes, your observation is actually very usual.
    Apistos, by its own nature, will kidnap other apistos' babies
    (either for rearing or eating). Changing the colour is one way
    to attract the babies to them. I remember i have some postings
    on this topic somewhere...
