don't worry. The shrimps will take care of themselves... you don't have to do anything.
I would use a filter.
Hi ,Just found that some of my cherry shrimps are pregnant. i need some advice from experts out there.
1)will the rest of the shrimps feed on the fries ?
2)Where usually will they deposit the eggs ? under the leaves ?
3) The male will then fertilise the eggs after they are laid?
4) I am confused about the provision of filter in a low maintainance 1 ft tank. Some say filter not require for cherry shrimp tank , some say must cycle the water for days before letting in shrimps ( which also means filter, right ?)
5) Usually once pregnant, how long it takes for the fries to appear ?
6) Is there such a thing as too much plant in a tank ?
Thanks !

Cycling is important in order for the beneficial bacterias (BB) to colonise in your tank. This is so that there is enough BB to convert ammonia and nitrite to the less lethal nitrate. Ammonia and nitrite are toxic to your faunas in low levels.
Having a filter will allow more BB to colonise and at a faster rate as well. Having more plants that is growing well can also help to absorb ammonia too.
Do read more about the nitrogen cycle and its impact.

Dont worry, the cherries will hatch and are quite big shrimplet which is visible for us.Mine had 7 pregnant shrimps and my 1 ft tank is housing about 100 shrimplet now.I had add on a top hung filter help to circulate the water due to the big family.I didnt notice the time take for the eggs to hatch but I saw the shrimplet swimming around 1 week after I discover the pregnant shrimp.
