    Hi All
Have a case of green water, was wondering if the singapore shrimp is able to filter suspended algae from the water ?

Thinking of using daphnia but having a hard time find them

    Thanks

Not too sure if the Singapore shrimps will be able to solve your green water problem, i have 2 of them in my 2 ft tank and had never encountered green water.

On a side note, there are quite a number of LFS selling daphnias in the east side like tampines or bedok. Not too sure on the available of live food in other areas so probably others can advice you. :c)

Thanks for the reply .. fellow AQ puffer is already helping me check availability of the daphnia in redhill market ...

But was wondering after the green water is "solved" ... would keeping a singapore shrimp help filter suspended green algae in the water column ...or is that too small for them to filter ?

Was thinking of using them as a "preventive" measure for green water ?

just blackout for two days should stop the greenwater. filter shrimp will not clear the green diatom.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.
