Looks like a nice setup for your shrimps to forage in, except for that green square patch looks a little out of place and I must say, an ingenius idea of getting your T5HO set to get suspended.

    Got me thinking already

no choice currently only have 1 tank.
harvesting a moss call Plagiomnium Trichomanes on that patch

the wall shelf wasn't that perfect. the width is just 28cm.
    ikea doesn't sell solid wood

previously using aluminium bar, very strong structure

Are the lights ATI? I see built-in fans... And the suspending cables look familiar...

The scape looks abit sparse. Will you be adding more plants? Are U. graminifolia fast growing?

What's the bright green blob of moss at the right?
Looks nice to use to create a conifer forest kind of theme.

The large leaf plant behind the C helferi looks like Barclaya longifolia.

The large 'flame' tree looks magnificent.

The layout itself is not unifying. I'm afraid it's a bit all over. It needs a unifying element/flow unless you are going for a Dutch style tank. I that case you need to fill up the tank considerably, front and back. The mid sections are looking good.

unifying... do you mean the plants selection is wrong here?

    Hi Eddie,

The plant selection is not wrong. It's just that the flame moss is the most striking and it does not flow to the rest of the tank. I look at the flame moss my eyes stop there.
This IMHO makes the layout non unifying. You should plant it around the tank to creat a sense that it grows freely instead of limiting it to one place.

You should reposition the wood in the middle as it currently divides the layout in two.

If you have multiples of flame moss 'trees' in the background and promote the petite to the lower midground, i think you will have a more striking layout.

Filling the corners with the C helferi will create more filled look.

the whole tank is on FIRE.
i will wanna try that. but i do not have the skill and resources. too difficult to find matching wood. but i've try.

foreground i'm gonna have just Eriocaulon.sp. easier to maintain. The Plagiomnium Trichomanes you use is moss like. they are very fragile

    Haha, it is on fire.

I think you definitely have the ability. You already have one tree. Just do what you did. XXX

The lawn is just a suggestion, there's a lot of choices, you can use dwarf hairgrass[E parvula]. This is fairly easy as it grows quickly in Aquasoil.

The one that will test your patience is the petite!

have tried hairgrass and HC before. growth is very slow for my tank.

What I'd do is remove the foreground gravel you're using and replace it with aquasoil. I've done this to my holland sand setups to grow glosso etc and it works well.

Do this after you've drained all the water out and removed the fauna into a spare bucket. Start planting after you've added about <1 inch of water.
Refill to at least 4" and add another hose to siphon fine floating particles from the water. Add anti chlorine periodically to treat the incoming water.
Make sure the inflow is slow so that it doesn't ruin your layout.

Once the water is clear, stop siphoning and let it fill back t othe brim and restart your filter. You can then put back in the fauna.

just touch up abit. think i need more ideas again.
added Cryptocoryne parva, Cryptocoryne affinis and some stone at the foreground
    re-tied my flame moss tree.
removed the Creeping moss and unknown huge plant
added more zebra oto, 8 pieces now. Limpet snail given for adoption
us.fissiden growing back after i strip it last month

main headache is the Eriocaulon.sp. i can't find a good spot for it. there's about 20 plantlet all at the center foreground
