Interesting. Haven't seen the Apistogramma sp "Galaxis" before. The more senior collectors? Anyone seen it before in town?

From Cichlid Atlas II, it is of similar form of A.regani.

Did a search on the net.
Seems like A.sp "Galaxis" was also known as A.sp "Algodon". So it seems confusing. ANyone has other information?

Googled picture of A. sp. "galaxy", last fish right at the bottom of page.
    http://www.cichlidnewsmagazine.com/i.../whatsnew.html

Mike Wise said that A. sp. "galaxy" is also sold as "Algodon 1", "Galaxis", and "Nanay". They are actually referring to A. sp. Papageien/Parrot.
    http://forum.apistogramma.com/showthread.php?t=1555 (see post # 9)

However, there don't seem to be any pictures of A. sp. "galaxis" II although the name is appearing in lists of some suppliers.

The colouration from the picture doesn't really look like the A.sp "Algodon" I or II. Hmmm...

If it is really a A.sp "Papagei" or A.sp "Algodon" or A.sp "Masken" or whatever, then the price doesn't seem to justify unless a picture shows otherwise.

    My 1.5cents worth.

Valice, what do you meant by the price dont justify, too cheap or expensive.
Anyway the seller has put it up for sales a few time before, the last time he had 2 pairs, now reduce to 1.

When A.sp "Algodon" I and A.sp "Masken" was in town last year, the price of a pair will be half of what he asked for. So you decide.

But if it is indeed a new species, then it is a willing-buyer and willing-seller transaction.

Try to get a picture of the pair if you are interested on getting.

Or can ask wks to show his pair of A.sp 'Algodon'.
Biotope's one still got some tinge of yellow here and there IIRC. Beautiful indeed. A pity no female.
