    IMHO, you could split the hairgrass to even finer brunches. It would encourage it to propagate fast.

    ya agreed, mine start growing fast only when i splitted them 2cm apart ..( in my 4ft slim wall mounted tank)

    Looks nice. How about a full frontal shot and yes, split up the hairgrass. It'll propagate faster and also you'll avoid having a big dead-algae-infested bunch of hairgrass at the end of the day.

    Spread the hairgrass more thinly.... it will not only look better..but prevent too dense clusters...
