Once acclimatised, they can grow really fast and anywhere. Tying it to drift wood works as well, for me.
Just something to share, sometime back, I bought a small pot of tropica's Utricularia graminifolia aka chendol plant and planted it at the bottom of my tank. But due to some reason, suspected they being eaten by Malayian trumpet snail, they all disappeared in a few weeks time. But a couple month ago, I see some green leaves appearing on the top corner of my moss wall. At first I thought some ricca had got into the tank but they somewhat don't look like ricca. Had ignored it and now a big bunch had grown and I identified them to be chendol plants. Now they seems growing pretty well but sort of out of place, hanging on the top right corner of my background. They are expensive plants so do not wish to remove them but their location is sort of er....![]()

Oh, thanks for the information, maybe, I will try to tie some to a driftwood when I can find a location to place it im my tank. For now, hopefully more will grow in the hanging position first.![]()

Seems difficult to tie chendol ...![]()
Will do so once i find the time or if i can yank it out to take a picture of it.
I tied mine with the normal nylon threads (fishing line).
