PIC1.JPG and anyone can tell what happened here? pic6.JPG. My tank is a 4X1.5X1.5. Temp is maintained at 25-27 Degree C, and KH is 3, Ph is about 6.2 - 6.5, Co2 is high about 6b/sec for 10hours. Lighting is 1.5W per Gal. My tank looks like this Pic4.JPG Thanks dudes......

With lighting of 1.5 WPG, do not expect super plant growth. Plant growth will be extremely slow. And I always thought HC would require a lot more lighting than 1.5 WPG.

What I don't quite understand is, if you are injecting CO2 in the tank, why the low lighting? You might as well high light, high tech tank. For the low lighting, might as well go for a low tech tank, without CO2.

Well, its more of the limitations of the tank i have. It came with 108W of 10000K FL tubes. I like the tank with an enclosed hood. Anyone know where I can modify the hood of a Jebo Bullet tank? So... Quixotic.. You saying its more of a lighting issue with all the problems I have with my tank?

Light isn't the issue here..going with higher light would worsen things since you are already limiting in something. What are you dosing for nutrients? CO2 seems off with that much green spot algae and poor plant growth.

Well, I use the EI lite method....
NO3 (3/4 tsp) and KH2PO4 (1/2 tsp) Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun
K2SO4 (1/2 tsp) and Seachem Trace (5ml) Tues, Thurs, Sat
    Every Monday I do a 40% WC
I using the lushgro products (Powder) and once a week 5ml of Seachem iron.
Peter... What do you mean CO2 seems off... Too much?

Don't get the Seachem Trace but rather than regular Seachem Flourish instead for a complete trace mix.
    Routine suggestion:
NO3 (3/4 tsp) and KH2PO4 (1/8 tsp) Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun
Seachem Flourish (15ml) Tues, Thurs, Sat
    Every Monday I do a 40% WC

No, your CO2 is too low due to poor mixing in the tank/reactor.
Consider adding more plants for the empty floor spaces as well with crypts and etc for those darks areas.

I started filling up those areas with tiger lilies... think its a good idea? What about the K2SO4? CO2 too low? I thought we had to maintain a 20ppm average? Right now i have a 55ppm average. I use the mist method. Think I should use a rain bar to distribute the flow? Recommend me some crypts? Looking for some that won't grow so tall.

    It's nutrient deficiency/imbalance. I seriously doubt it's 55ppm. CO2 saturation is 30-40ppm depending on water.

IMO HC needs 26C to do well. They always look tiny and pathetic in >27C.
