I always say mainland chinese forums are garbage (don't get confused with forums in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore), here is another example. I am very very very angry!! (They copied my L46 photos, including babies' photos!!) The copier is a moderator of the forum - TRD!!!!!!!!!!

Really a garbage moderator in a garbage forum!!

They even dare print their logo on my photos!!
That's really crazy!! The copier should go to hell (excuse me)...

Register with that forum and voice out! Have seen something similar happened to a member of killies.com. His picture was also used by someone. If you keep quiet, the person might take advantage of your picture.
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.

    blueblue,
i'm afraid it will happen sooner or later since its on the internet.
may i suggest you water-mark your photos before you post them.
you can ask some of the sifu's in here on how to do it.
in the meantime, as a follow-up to BFG's suggestion you can also put a link to your earlier post on another forum as "proof" to expose the copier!

    just saw the thread.
    sorry i can't read chinese.
but did he also copy your breeding comments of your thread too?

Tsk tsk, shame shame. Hopefully, it's just a case of one bad apple.

There is another moderator for the section, maybe try to contact him and let him know of what has been done. Can also try contacting the main moderators or forum managers.

    Thanks BFG.
i did think about it but being a member of such garbage forum makes me feel ashamed of myself... i am quite an active hobbyist and breeder of apistogramma and catfish on the web... i really feel it's crazy for them to copy my photos over there!! i really feel very angry...

Plus, i voiced out here to alert friends that: When they post a photo, do put their name there...

No problem Blueblue. But I have to insist to you, do not let the culprit get away with it. You care for and look after your fishes but that so called 'mod' took your 'belonging' and get the glory. It ain't right. Theft, in whatever form there is, is still wrong. If you turn your back on this, you are at the losing end and that so called 'mod' gets away scot-free. Act now!

He say he will update the growth of the babies daily. What I suggest is that you don't update the photos in the net.

After 1 or 2 weeks, ask openly in the forum what happen to the babies......most likely he will not be able to answer or come up with stupid excuses. Then you post your photos on the daily growth rate of the babies for everyone to see.

I think we should hold off insults to the entire forum or country for that matter. There are always bad eggs within groups and we should not let this result in discrimination of the entire group.

I believe somebody have already voiced out the issue in the thread, maybe we should see how things develop. Meanwhile, chill out guys!

I had the one of the moderator of sonic 2000 (another forum from China) who stole my pictures in more than one occassion and claimed that they were his. I registered in the forum and inform the other moderators. Luckily this was resolved as the moderators were at loggerheads.

But there were other situations where my photos were 'stolen' and there was no way I could raise the issue as the forums were in other foreign language that I could not understand/register.

    Cheers,

It is interesting that with water-marking on your photos, you can still happily use them as theirs? They still made the effort to crop the photos?

Yes. They cropped out my name, which is usually at the top or the bottom. I don't usually watermark on the body of the fish. Perhaps I should, but I think it destroys the beauty.

ive changed my water marking so its not on the body of the fish...but still close enough so that when they crop..they crop out some parts of the fish.. this is just to show when i post my photos..why theirs look like they do.

    Cheers,

Lao zhong, I just stole 2 or 3 of your Thailand pictures(one I remember it was me holding the mekong giant cat) for the old Thai field report(will be published on fishworld magazine next month i think). It happened on last Sunday night, but now then inform you here...see..we Chinese always inform after we do something. hahaha.

See this. The people in this Chinese forum respond well to the copyright thing, in childish way though.
