Yes, I tend to write a lot of code these days. It pays a few bills, and keeps me insane

I like doing small simple applications though to while away the hours. It keeps my mind active, and enables me to try out different ideas on a smaller scale.

I just hope it helps with my aquarium.

Try it! It's gooooooooooood , but would it be better if there's is another alternative in the lighting portion. Currently it's calculated in Watts/Litres how about creating one in Watts/Gallon?

Just to answer some of the questions in this thread.

Aqua Mate is a Freeware application, so you can download it all you like, and you can give it to anyone you like.

The software was written by myself.

The Lighting feature does calculate in Watts per Gallon. It will also calculate in Watts per Litre.

This however, is determined by the method you use to calculate the volume of your aquarium. The options for this are ( cm/gallon, cm/litre, inches/gallon, inches/litre ). What you see displayed in green text is how the calculation will be determined. Clicking the grey text will alter these options to suit your needs.

My personal choice for calculating the water column is cm/gallon.
To do this, just click on 'cm' and 'gallon' so they change their colour to green.

Perhaps when I get some time I will address some of these issues, and better the design of the interface.

Yeah.....it does come with Watts/Gallon. Sorry, should have explore the program in detail before making noise !
