i recently bought 2 of these small plecos from c328 for my bare discus tank as my other normal albino sucker had been attacking my discus and i heard that the bristlenoses are perfect algae cleaners and discus companions

however, while 1 of the plecos seems to be behaving normally and moving around the tank sucking like it should be, i have another that parks itself above the airstone and just stones in the air bubble stream for hours and hours....they also don't seem to be doing a good job in cleaning the tank - my old normal sucker cleared the tank of all algae in 1 day and maintained it clean and still had to be fed wafers, but my tank with 2 bristlenoses are allowing algae to grow on them

is something wrong, or am i having normal bristlenose behaviour? (especially for the guy who likes to stay unmoving in my fastmoving bubble stream)

It's hard to say if there is a problem. If there are no signs of illness and looks healthy, I am sure they are fine. It really depends very much on the fish itself too, they do have their own preference. I know some prefers fish food rather than algae. And I assume you do know that they may not necessary eat all types of algae.
