It is a bg project that you are doing there. If you are trying to grow HC you grow in soil but for the carnivorous plant like the pitcher they are better grown on peat moss, perlite anything which don't contain much nutrience.
Hello,
I want to turn one of my planted tanks into a vivarium (~270liter).
I mostly want to grow Hemianthus callitrichoides "Cuba", some mosses and maybe some orchid and carnivorous plants.
I have a few question about how to go about it:Here is a photo of the tank I want to convert to a vivarium:
- How do you keep a constant temperture inside the vivrium?
I guess it's easier with a water "pond" because you can put a heater inside the water part.
But this seems a more complicated setup. I really like the vivarium posted here http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...ad.php?t=14023- What kind of substrate do I need? Hemianthus will grow on soil but the other plants?
- Beside a mist maker, what do I need that I haven't got in my planted tank?
Thanks.

Thanks insider!
Why do you say it's a "big" project?
The way I see it is I just need to replace the substrate and get a mist maker... am I missing anything?
