not only expensive but is going to be heavy as well. needs a huge heat sink to dissipate waste heat. also the power supply is going to be huge as well.

but led offers a more compact package. currently, some leading-edge leds can emit about 200 lumens while occupying an area of about 1~2cm2.

dual output eballast are available.

i have not come across triple output eballast. maybe i have not seen enough.
dual 40w eballast are easily purchase from electrical shops. maybe you can check with some electrical shops. lian eng at blk 22 kelantan lane should provide you with sufficient information.
