looks like a dragonfly nymph to me.. supposedly catches small aquatic animals n eats them...![]()

Could this creature be the cause of my death of CRS?
Please help me identified the water insect and share with me if you have similar experience, thanks! Photo is in my blog.
I still don't know where this water insect come from? Maybe it's with the moss that come with the CRS I bought recently.

Yup. Certainly seems like it. Once you remove it, the mysterious deaths will stop.
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Thanks for all yor reply! I think the mystery death has stopped!
Now only left with 3 grade A CRS.
Will monitor for a week before adding any new CRS.

I have it too last time. the fellow was crawling on the floor. Also dunno how it ended up there.
God will make a way, where there seems to be no way

Finally, all my CRS died....will restart again soon.
Hey I caught these 2 tiny little suckers this afternoon but luckily no losses of fish..But vicker03 you need cold water to maintain or even breed crs! good luck to you!

hey guys...where on earth these dragonfly thingy landed in your tanks ? flew in ? by the way..just to share with you guys today what i brought back home from the dw (with moss) i got from LFS....a 5cm long centipete...got a shock of my life when this ugly creature "crawl" in speedlight right infront of my face ! so ....this aquarium hobby does attract all sort of creatures huh ? LOL

Dragonflies lay their eggs in water. So they either flew in your house and laid eggs there, or the eggs took a hitch back from the plants you bought.

I don't have a chiller, using fan to cool down the temperature.
U got good lobang for a chiller? :P

Nope, just wondering without chiller, can CRS strive. Althought someone in the sell/buy forum is selling some cheap chiller now i think. haha
So what is the temp of your tank ?

May I check if the Dragonfly nymphs wriggle like the mosquitoes' larvae?
I just caught one small little wriggling nymph and it was strolling on my DW when I spotted it. The colour doesn't look like a mosquito's larva. Nonetheless, threw it into my betta's jar, hope the fish will eat.
