What are you trying to subtract?? i don't think it takes any mathematics to operate the filter.
What does CR mean?? i don't understand sms lingo.
Hi all, I just got an ehiem 2028 canister from my friend for my 322 tank. Can anyone recomend me what substract sequence is good? Rough surface cr compare to smooth one which is better? How about biohome?
By the way, I just got some ehiem substrat pro. Thanks.

Jackskeli, I think you meant filter media. The ones from Eheim are good enough and it is usually bundled together with the canister filter. If it's not, get them.
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.
Don't walk behind me as I might not lead, don't walk in front of me as I might not follow. Walk beside me, as my friend.
Mohamad Rohaizal is my name. If it's too hard, use BFG. I don't mind.
Thanks BFG for your patience, point noted. Will get the package.
I have eheim substrat the normal rocky ones for 8 years and my biological filtration still rocks!

Eheim substrat /substrat pro needs to be replaced after some use. The fine pores in the media will get clogged after a period of time and efficiency will drop.
I use bio balls cos its maintenance free. But I still use the substrat pro in the top tray. Got rid of the ceramic rings to make more space for bio balls. The coarse filter pad is good enough.
