    Hi Samuelgoh,

Just to enquire further, is your moss browning or becoming translucent? Also do you have any SAEs in the tank?

Probably a photo of the moss in question would be better for us to see what's going on.

I'm not too sure if the SAEs are the culprit but for me, I have a mixture of Taiwan & Peacock moss. Apparently the SAEs loved snacking on the Taiwan moss but left the peacock moss alone. Most of my Taiwan moss are dying thanks to the pair of SAEs, thus I am converting all my moss to peacock ones.

27c is ok for me, used to have it adapting well in this temperature range.

Been how long since you introduced the erect moss to the tank? Could be in stages of adapting and growing in your tank now!

You are concern about the condition(healthy/unhealthy) or expecting the growth rate as your spiky moss?

As what grey_fox mentioned, a picture be better.

I think if you have moss skeletons then the SAE's are definitely the culprit. But if it's browning, then from experience sometimes mosses like erect and taiwan can die off suddenly like yellowing from one area and spreading to the whole clump. If you don't remove what's still healthy from the clump, it will all turn brown and die.
