I just bought a 600l/hr Boyu powerhead filter with a rainbar attached to it for my 2X2X1 feet tank which is about 113l in size. Is that an overkill?

450-600litre/hr sounds reasonable to me for a standard 2 feet tank. You can make use of the control tap/valve to control the flow rate as well.

Should be ok .. i just bought an atman 300L/hr internal filter for my 2ft to increase the water circulation. Somemore i got a canister filter which is 1000L/hr.

I have a similar configuration. A 300l/hr internal plus a 960l/hr canister for my 2 footer. No hurricane inside the tank and fishes seems pretty comfortable and relax.

no problem to the flowrate , but it mainly depend on what fish you are keeping , 600lph is reasonable , if you felt that it too high , you can always change for smaller flowrate , which i think i not nesscary .

Must consider the plants and driftwood too... they retard alot of water flow.

It all depends on how you direct your outlet flow. My 500l/hr outlet is connected to an open bottom reactor so the water flows out downwards through a rather huge area. The water in my tank is so calm that pearling bubbles float almost perfectly vertical upwards.

With 500l/hr you connect it to a rainbar blowing from the back of your tank to the front you'll get the washing machine effect. haha.
