Oh thanks Hong, just researching only, cause my shrimp tank only have cherries and probably some malayan shrimp. Taking them out day by day, no choice as they are shy and well hidden.

I heard somewhere that cherries can cross with malayan. dono Don't know how true it is. But crs, cherries and yamato can be mixed without any crosses. Tried n and tested.

yeap, there have been some saying that malayan will cross with cherry. So in my cherry shrimp tank, i am like you trying to scope out the malayan one by one. They were added to test water during initial setup.Originally Posted by jiahe88
Let me share with you, my way of taking out the malayan. In the day, you can forget about doing it, malayan will hide and never come out. so after you off the light for 1, 2 hrs at night, they will come out. Then when you on the light, with some luck they are there for you to scope up. I did that, and now are left with 1 malayan still in the tank.

lol true me still searching for the malayan in my tank i put in 150... hmm.. doubt all still survive hehe.. due to Badis.. sigh eat them for food...
haha thanks for sharing your method of catching the malayans. i have 2 of them in a cycling tank and i'm having problems locating them as theres a driftwood in the middle with lots of hiding spaces.
