    Hi guy
    i just started a new tank 3 day ago.Using ADA amozonia , afew moss on dw and ss.After the water clear from the cloudness cause by the soil. Green water begin to appear . everyday i did a 90% WC using de-clorinated water but still,after about 1~2 hrs, the water start to turn a bit greenish..
    it's the 3rd day today since i start the tank and everyday i see greenish water..need help!!!
    anyone know why and how to solve this problem??

    Hi Jerome, and welcome to AQ.

    The greenwater you are experiencing is part and parcel of a new setup, where the water needs time to clear up.

    In your case I am guessing that you stirred up the ADA Aquasoil when you were filling the tank up for the first time, thus creating the "cloudiness caused by the soil", and consequentially the greenish water because of all the stuff that you stirred up.

    The solution is to simply leave it alone and let the tank cycle for 2 weeks or more depending on your plant mass. I am expecting that you only have mosses inside so the cycling period and water cloudiness will last perhaps a month. Don't change water... let it cycle.

    Check your filter too, does it have ample mechanical filtration?

    i think UV lamp help.
    let it run 24 hours in 21st day. and u should able to see some improvement.
    then let it run like 1 hour per day til all greenish stuff went off...

    ok, i will let it run naturally for a few days and see.
    As for the UV lamp i dun think i will be buying that cost that is not cheap.
    Anyway thank for all the advice
