Nah... they don't really work and is waste of money. I still have a tube of liq. CO2 if you want to try.

Go for a DIY yeast generated CO2 if you are not ready to invest in a cylinder.

Don't really understand what you meant by manual/electric?

A CO2 system consist of a cylinder(~S$100), regulator($50~$150), solonoid valve(optional, can be separate or integrated with regulator, $50 to $150) and pH controller (optional, $600 and up)

IMO, please get a good regulator. It may cost more, but for the sake of your fishes. I would recommend a solenoid operated by timer. At least, you can sleep in peace without worrying that the next morning your fishes are poisoned by CO2. pH controller is a luxury item, totally not neccessary.

Does not matter what size your tank, CO2 system cost about the same, diff only in size of the cylinder you want to get. At nature, a 2 litre cylinder (which is about right for a 2 feet tank), solenoid (i.e. electrical) and regulator plus accesories is about $240+. Manual not sure, but I think you can take 100 over $ off the above price. Call Chan at Nature for a quote.

With a solenoid, you can connect it and the lights to a timer and have auto-on/off. Manual, you leave it on 24hrs or manually turn on/off every morning/night.

No experience with liq or pellet CO2.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

I was thinking of using CO2 pellet for my second smaller 2ft tank - cost RM1 per tablet, sold in box of 80 tablets.
Thanks for telling it's not effective.
My first 4ft tank use CO2 cylinder (RM250) & auto regulator (RM320) ~ comparable to S'pore prices. For diffuser, I recommend the turbo-jet (RM55)- really great.
Anyone heard of a brown colour subtrate from Japan said to contain bacteria for biological filtration n release CO2 at the same time - may be sufficient for less demanding plants only - costs RM120 - RM140 per bag?
