Hi guys,

I'm new here so appreciate any help I can get.

A brief introduction about myself. I was in the police force for about 9 years and recently made a career switch to be a primary school teacher. Doing relief teaching till I start studies at NIE. With my new job I'm left with less time for my dozen or so tanks. Recently gave away most of them. My experience has been mostly with arrowana (my 1st fish), discus (kept, and bred some) various other cichlids and some tetras.

I'm hoping to set up a decent planted tank with help from the forummers here. I stay at Toh Guan so C328 is about 10min by bus for me.

Appreciate any help from anyone..

Hi everyone..

Thanks for the warm reception. I've been having a great time browsing through the threads here. I'm slowly getting my project together. Moved the tank to its intended place. Checked the filter, buying new hoses and medias. Will do some window shopping this weekend for some hardware for the tanks. Hope everything will turn out right. I'm open to any suggestions so keep the comments coming in. I forgot to mention not only am I an avid aquarist, I'm also an obsessed angler. Guess the 2 hobbies intersect along the way. I'm a member of the local fishing forum "Fishing Kaki" under the same nick "LoneRider".. In fact I got to know of this forum because of a link posted there.

To Eddyq - Glad to know there's a forum member near me, I'll be sure to contact you if I'm gonna shop for plant stuff.
