Eheim 2028 with "YH" characters!!

Just bought the eheim's 2028 filter and noticed that under the pump head there are two engrave characters "YH". Does anyone has the same characters on thier 2028? Just worry that I may get a used set. Please enlighten. Thanks.[

as you know the official sole distributor of ehiem is YiHu and there is a warranty for all ehiem filters. Due to the amount of parallel imports, that is why you have the YH on it.

Hi David, how thing going on? Yeap, long time no see...just bought this 2028 to replace my 2235. Hope this will clear my water particles.

Thanks for your info; so YiHu is the sole distributor and that is how the YH characters come about. BTW, the frogbits could not survive in my tank. I think my tank do not have enough elements for them. But, I have replaced with penny wort. Thanks again.

My 2235 do not have any engrave characters. I bought it from C328 last time. Maybe they do not engrave on lower range filter head, they only do it on the higher series pump like the professionals.

BTW, anyone bought the 2028 with no engrave? If yes, where you get it from? Please enlighten. Thanks.

that is not true.. i got a new 2213 lately and there was a engraving by petmart on the spot too..

BTW, what did they engrave? Date or their shop's name?

me got 2213 filter from Petmart last week.. and yes they engraved some date and info on the bottom side of the filter head.. I ask the owner and he say is for identification purpose.. so if the filter is broken and go back to ask for exchange , they will know whether it buy from them or not..it oso act as warranty purpose as well..
