It is possible. Contrary to what people thinks, C.wendtii can grow to pretty long. I have some which are 1ft tall.

1ft tall? Your wendtii could be the "Mi Oya"... which belong to larger size crypt variant.

On the other hand, wendtii "green" shouldn't be that tall.

    I rescaped on Sunday.
Removed all the old substrate. Put in my ADA substrate additives. Put back the old ADA soil and top up with new ADA soil powder form. Took the picture last night. Hope that it dispels all notion that cloudy water or what ever nightmare you hear about ADA soil is put to rest.

Plants are Potamogeton gayi, Rotala wallichi, Xmas moss, normal Hairgrass, E.tenellus, C.undulata "Red" and petite nana.

Will see how's the growth. Low light somemore.
Looking for the Dymax 13W lights still. 11W abit too low, and 18W abit too high.

If I can get my hands on the mini CO2, will add in the CO2.

nice setup, may i know how you used the xmas moss to achieve the look of the front lawn?

also, in your last rescape, what plant was it that you used for the front lawn?

The green stuff? That's the same Christmass moss. That amount grew so much that it became pretty thick and cover the entire foreground. So I merely lifted the entire bunch and place it into this current new scape.

Need to thin it down. A little too thick.

ic, so it's basically lying on the gravel? won't it move about with the movement of the fishes or the water flow?

    R. wallichi can do pretty well in a non-co2 tank. i have one in a non-co2 nano cube (5 gal) with 13W lights and excel dosing...seeing quite good growth!

it has grown so thick that it is of some weight. Moreover, Christmas moss clings to each other and also to anything it can grip. So just I just needed a couple of stones to weight it down a little and then position the stones such that it compliments the rest of the flow of the hardscape.

    Yup. Added, then stopped.
Guess is the carbon imbalance and didn't make large water change to get the balance back.
