Ammonia Test Kits

May I know what types of ammonia test kits you guys are using? I am looking for a good accurate test kit for it. I already have the 5 in 1 Tetra test kit for pH, GH, KH, NO2 and NO3 which is a paper based type as it is more convenient to test all those at once than individually (altho I find it is not that accurate). I also have an electronic pH tester to monitor and counter check my tetra test kit pH. Are there any paper based test kits for ammonia? TIA.

NH test kit are not really important unless you are cycling a new tank. This is because NH test kit cannot tell Ammonia from Ammonium. What is important is a Nitrite and Nitrate test kit, and if you are into CO2 injection, a KH test kit is important.

Thanks David, So, I think I will spend my money I save from not buying the NH4 test kit on fish food and maybe more fishes!

ammonia test kits test both nh4 and nh3
for the better ones they have instructions which tell you what proportion is nh3 and which is nh4
a rule of thumb is your pH

when your pH is less than 7, ie 6.5, you can usually rule out there being nh3, with most of the nh3 being ionised to nh4
