Huaikong,
Could be too much ammonia in the water..
Often caused by lack of filtration, overfeeding and/or overstocking a tank.
Have you got an amonnia test kit? If so, what are your readings?
Mez
Currently keeping many wild betta species and other anabantoids.
Chris & HK, I think it best to check the conditions of your tanks
HK, the last time you wrote a thread complaining about a lot of your fishes died in a week...did you check your tank's conditions? Then from other threads, I read you'll trying to restock when some guys wanted to sell their fishes. Could it be that your tank is really overstock? Not a good idea to put in more fishes if the tank is overcrowded. But if you don't mind, I can help you keep some temporarily for the time being until your new tank arrived [:]
Chris, what about your tanks? The Jag you gave me is doing really well...king of my 4ft tank now []
Work Whenever, Fish Forever.
do 40% water changes continuously for a few days.
forget those stuff that ppl tell you abt not to change water to let the tank "stablise"
it is not the issue
Thank you all for the help and concern. I realised that the problem is due to an over-production of slime, which is caused by something else...
Presently, their appetities had improved slightly and should be all right in a couple of days.
Ezion, my tank is over-crowded now... Not exactly now but probably in a few more months. Currently, still deciding which fish to keep and which fish to clear...
Your jag is always so active, even in my tank but a bit too greedy for its own good.
WOW, slimy issues huh? [] Well if you want to clear some fishes do let me know, cos' I got some extra space for them []
