I suppose the people that stay with him or something. Or perhaps he got someone to maintain for him?

I personally think taking care of planted tanks is easy. Just fertilize the right amounts and do occasional water changes.

(off-topic) Also it is good to have a 2 month holiday. How I wish I can do that.

if you are referring to May pic, they are the flower buds of Eriocaulon.

i got most of mine from user 'xtrekker'. Eriocaulon sp.南美寬葉大穀精., Eriocaulaceae sp 南美細葉大穀精 and a few other types ... just got a mini Eriocaulon 'broadleaf' from him .....

pm me if you like to get his contact number.

Info i get from web, this plant is very demanding. Lighting intensity and CO2 levels should be high. pH (~6.0) .

Im using ADA soil and 4 x 54W T5 HO for 4ft setup.

    Hi morta_skuld,
They are doing fine, just uproot them for propagation.

When they get too big, the lower portion starts to rot.

oh i see your eriocaulon is different to mine anyway it looks like it rots over time just like you said. the head is blocking the light to the roots. just like the toninas.

hi, I have about 4 types of eriocaulon in my 4ft, the rest seem ok except for narrow leaf.

as you mentioned, the roots will rot if head block the light.

    have fun !!
